Karim Kawar
First Elected Chairperson 2000-2002 | 2 Years

Congratulations int@j on your 20th anniversary!

It was an honor and a privilege to serve as the founding chairman of this great organization which was conceived from the vision of HM King Abdullah II articulated in the REACH Initiative. So much has been accomplished during the past 20 years thanks to the leadership of int@j over those two decades.

Looking ahead, the future is all digital. int@j, the industry it represents and the community it gathers are at the heart of building that future. This can only be achieved through fostering innovation, nurturing entrepreneurship, financing initiatives and building alliances towards a stronger industry that is able to reach customers and consumers in our region and around the world.

Happy 20th anniversary and wishing you continued success!

On this auspicious occasion, when the Information and Communications Technology Association of Jordan – int@j is celebrating 20 years of successful, prosperous and full of achievements journey, a time when an organization is still young and energetic, yet it starts to fully reap the fruit of its accumulated experience, wisdom and reputation.

int@j has risen from very humble beginnings, Founded in 2000 based on the 1st Royal Initiative "REACH" to fulfill His Majesty King Abdullah's (II) vision to develop the ICT sector towards positioning Jordan as a major ICT hub in the region.

Over the years, we have seen how Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has transformed our lives and has had a deep social and economic impact. It has revolutionized communication, it has redefined entertainment, enabled transparency in governance, changed healthcare, and a lot more.

Today we live in an area full of challenges and unknowns, nevertheless, the smart and digital solutions work in harmony with the human capital to turn these challenges into opportunities; and this is the core work of int@j who work together with several stakeholders and partners to help the sector grow exponentially.

I take this opportunity to congratulate our members, board members, management, and staff for this momentous celebration and to thank the previous board members and management who have played in the past 20 years a key role in this venture committing financial resources and going through extremely very difficult times to ensure success for this association.

As we celebrate what int@j has achieved in the past, we want to assure you that we are now bracing ourselves for what we need to do to truly provide our members with a platform of products & services that support their continuous growth, expansion, and prosperity toward a mature sector that substantially contributes to the national economy and provides quality jobs for Jordanians.

I personally, invite you to go through the digital yearbook and I thank you for being a part of our Journey.
